What is VxCloud and who runs it?

How do I deploy my first application?

After signing up and adding cloud credentials in Settings → Vault, head to the Development tab and pick the service that matches your stack: FastAPI, Next.js, Node.js, React, Go, PHP, Django, Python, C++, Rust, or a Custom Docker Compose stack. Provide the target VM IP and SSH credentials, point at a Git repository (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), and click Deploy. The whole flow typically completes in 2–5 minutes.

Do I bring my own servers or do you host them?

Both. VxCloud can provision new VMs in the cloud provider of your choice, or it can deploy onto existing servers you already control via SSH. The InstaNodeBox agent ties an existing machine into your workspace so you can deploy to it the same way you would to a fresh cloud VM.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. The free tier gives you the dashboard, CLI, two provisioning nodes, and unlimited deploys onto your own infrastructure. Managed cloud resources we provision on your behalf are billed by the underlying provider — VxCloud only charges for orchestration on paid plans.

What runtimes and frameworks can I deploy?

Out of the box we support FastAPI, Next.js, Node.js (Express/Fastify/Koa/NestJS), React.js, Go, Django, Python, PHP, C++, and Rust. Each has a guided wizard with Test SSH Connection, Git or zip-upload source, and live deployment progress. For anything not on that list, use the Custom Compose Stack wizard and write whatever docker-compose.yml you need.

Can I deploy a custom Docker Compose stack?

Yes — that is what the Custom Compose Stack wizard is for. Pick a target VM, paste or pick a template (we ship 20 templates including Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ELK, WordPress, Mattermost, n8n, Keycloak, Vault, Ollama, and more), validate the YAML, and deploy. The stack is uploaded to /opt/compose/<stack> on the VM and brought up with docker compose up -d.

How do Git deployments authenticate to private repos?

Add a Git token (GitHub PAT, GitLab token, Bitbucket app password) once in Settings → Vault. The platform stores it in a per-workspace HashiCorp Vault namespace and resolves it just-in-time during clone. You can also pass per-deploy credentials in the wizard if you prefer not to persist them.

Do you offer a managed PostgreSQL?

Yes — MetalDB. It deploys self-hosted PostgreSQL onto your VM with a sensible default config, optional replication, scheduled backups, and integration with the Vault key store. Connection strings, admin credentials, and pgAdmin (when enabled) are surfaced in the dashboard after provisioning.

Can I see deployment progress in real time?

Every deploy is tracked in the Monitoring tab with a session ID, live progress percentage, terraform/SSH output stream, and a per-step status. WebSocket updates push progress to the dashboard while the deploy is running, and the audit log records the full sequence afterwards.

SOC 2 Type II (audited annually), ISO 27001 (certified), PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1, plus HIPAA BAA-ready and GDPR-compliant operations. Reports are available under NDA via the trust portal — request access from your account manager or security@prodxcloud.com.

How does VxCloud store secrets?

Every workspace gets its own HashiCorp Vault namespace. SSH keys, Git tokens, Docker registry credentials, and cloud provider keys live there. The platform reads them just-in-time during deploys; they never appear in container env, deploy logs, or the dashboard. All Vault reads are audit-logged.

Do you support SSO and SCIM?

Yes, on enterprise plans. SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect with Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin, JumpCloud, Ping Identity, and any compliant IdP. SCIM 2.0 provisioning automates user lifecycle — accounts are created on group join, role mappings update on attribute change, and access is revoked the moment an employee is disabled in your IdP.

How is MFA enforced?

TOTP (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.) and WebAuthn are supported. Enterprises can require MFA on login and step-up on sensitive operations. Backup codes are generated at enrollment and are usable once each.

Where can I see who did what?

The Audit tab shows every privileged action — provisioning, role changes, secret reads, deploys — in real time. The log is append-only and hash-chained. You can stream it to Splunk, Datadog, or your ELK stack via the audit API, and retention is configurable up to 7 years for regulated tenants.

How do I report a security issue?

Email security@prodxcloud.com with reproduction steps. We acknowledge within 24 hours, triage within three business days, and credit researchers in our hall of fame after a fix ships. Good-faith research that follows our disclosure policy is never pursued legally.

How do I upgrade or downgrade?

Upgrades take effect immediately from Settings → Billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period so you keep paid features until then. Enterprise contracts move via your account manager — email sales@prodxcloud.com.
